Creation The hermessence ambre narguilé was inspired by amber, a material reminiscent of eastern culture. I wanted to recreate my memory of the orient, where swirls of smoke scented with fruit, honey and spices diffuse a sweet sense of intoxication. Jean-claude Ellena, perfumer. Olfactory notes Smooth and enveloping, ambre narguilé combines sensual amber honey with toasted sesame seeds. An hermessence suitable for both men and women. The object The ambre narguilé bottle is showcased by a vibrant orange-coloured lacquer on the glass, echoed by the leather cap. Ethics The 100 ml and 200 ml sizes can be replenished from the 200 ml refill. A responsible gesture, integral to an object created to last. The Hermès detail The house’s emblematic lantern bottle constitutes a unique and timeless signature. Its leather cap with saddle-stitch signature is topped with an engraved Hermès saddle nail.Amber, the western expression of eastern fragrances, has a warm, sensual, enveloping, almost carnal smell. I wanted to imbue this idea of amber with the memory of the east I love by recreating the ambiance of those lively places where tobacco blended with the smells of fruit, honey and spices is smoked in narguilés, or water pipes, and where swirls of smoke diffuse a sweet sense of intoxication.
