Jawbox is an award-winning classic dry gin produced in a distillery set in a 300 acre estate just outside Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is distilled very slowly in traditional copper pot stills, in small batches, using grain grown on the estate and a unique combination of 11 select botanicals including local Black Mountain heather. We insist on taking our time to ensure we produce a quality gin with real character.The name Jawbox refers to the nickname for the Belfast sink, a focal point of many kitchens in the citys Victorian golden age, where most conversations and laughter took place. It seemed like the perfect fit for this spirit. Jawbox Export Strength is the latest variant from this brand. A striking black bottle holding the same great juniper-forward gin but at an ABV of 47% which makes it punchier and ideal for cocktails. Jawbox is an award winning gin having been named Best Gin in the UK and more recently Best International Gin in Australia and a gold medal at London Spirits Competition.Jawbox Small Batch Gin is recommended to be served with ginger ale and a wedge of fresh lime. Belfast is actually where ginger ale was invented and it just so happens that it tastes great with Jawbox Gin. The serve is known as the Perfect Swerve' since customers are encouraged you to swerve the ordinary G&T and discover the original Gin & Ginger.Locals have even been known to swap the lime for a wedge of honeycomb which has become another popular serve.
